Portrait sessions are the perfect option to document your family yearly. These sessions are a combination of lightly posed and candid moments. Sessions last up to 1 hour and take place at your home or at an agreed-upon outdoor location that best represents my light and airy style. I have several favorite spots around the Birmingham area.

  • Sessions include up to 6 immediate family members ($20 for each additional person.)
  • All portrait sessions come with my complimentary wardrobe styling guide.
  • Scheduled on weekdays at your location of choice
  • Portrait sessions are $600.

**Petite sessions are available on select weekday mornings at 9:30 and are available exclusively for clients who have had a session with Whitney in the past. Petite sessions are $400.  Inquire for more information.

**Mini-sessions are available only in the fall on select dates.


LIFESTYLE PORTRAITS

THE SESSIONS

Maternity, Children, Families

You can expect your newborn session to last approximately 1.5-2 hours in the comfort of your home. Your newborn session will capture portraits of your new baby plus first photographs of your growing family. We will capture sweet sibling portraits (fur animals welcome as well!) that will make your heart melt. 

  • These sessions take place whenever your newborn is 1-6 weeks old, with the ideal window being 2-3 weeks after birth.
  • All newborn sessions come with my complimentary wardrobe styling guide.
  • I recommend booking your newborn session at the beginning of your 2nd trimester.
  • Scheduled on weekday mornings 

LIFESTYLE NEWBORN

1-6 WEEKS OLD + IMMEDIATE FAMILY

This package was designed to capture the fleeting first year. It includes 3, 4, or 5 sessions to be used within your baby's first 12 months. Ideal times for these sessions are maternity, newborn, 3-4 months, 6-8 months (sitting independently), and 12 months. 

The Baby's First Year Collection packages are customized for each client. I would love to help you create the perfect package for your needs.

  • Scheduled on weekdays.

Collections begin at $1600. 

BABY'S FIRST YEAR

AN HEIRLOOM COLLECTION

Cotton heirloom sessions are designed to capture the innocence of childhood and provide you with classic, timeless black and white and color heirloom portraits of your little ones.

These types of images have been around for generations and will be cherished for many years to come.

  • Cotton heirloom sessions last 15-20 minutes and take place in my light-filled home studio space. Children must be sitting independently.
  • Fine art prints, heirloom albums, and custom framed items are purchased after seeing your online gallery. 
  • Scheduled on weekdays

$150 creative fee 
($50 discount for siblings photographed on the same day)

Once you decide you're ready to book with me, we will compare our calendars and pick a date that works for both of us. I take a limited number of sessions per month, so reach out early to ensure availability. I will guide you through choosing the best time of day and location for your family.

My goal is to make your experience fun and stress-free.

After booking, I will send over my wardrobe style guide so that you are able to start picking out your family's outfits for our session together. During the time between booking and our session together, you are welcome to play dress up and send your favorite options to me. During this time, be sure to time your family's haircuts, and treat yourself to an appointment at your favorite nail salon if you so choose. Your hands will show in your images (especially newborn sessions), so keep all of the little details in mind as you're preparing for our time together.

Session Preparation

Show up for your session ready to enjoy being in the presence of your loved ones.

You've dreamt of and spent so much time preparing for our session together, so now it's time to capture the memories you've envisioned filling your home.

Session day!

Two to three weeks after your session, you will receive an online password-protected gallery of your images. This is where you will choose your favorites, and we will discuss how you'd like to enjoy them.

You can purchase prints and digital files through your gallery, and I will help you with album design and/or framed artwork for your home.
