Will I Enjoy a Lifestyle Newborn Session in My Home?

99% of the Birmingham newborn sessions I photograph are in-home lifestyle sessions. I absolutely love having the whole family around for newborn photos, including pets! In-home newborn sessions are typically more relaxed because where are you more relaxed than in the comfort of your own home (well, okay–maybe the spa!)? Speaking from experience, the first few weeks with a newborn are an absolute blur. You’re experiencing a form of sleep deprivation like you didn’t know was possible. You’re also experiencing the most amazing baby bliss you also didn’t know was possible.

In-Home Lifestyle Newborn Sessions

Mom is stressed enough as it is, so by scheduling an in-home lifestyle session, you don’t have to pack a diaper bag and meet me anywhere. If you have other children and are anything like me, the thought of having a toddler (or multiple) plus a baby in the car at any point in time adds an extra level of stress. Plus, I love to find sentimental items in your home that have great value to you and include them in our sessions. Lastly, you’ve worked on designing your baby’s nursery for months. You’ve gone from dreaming of your one-day nursery, to planning, and then seeing it come to life. I love getting photos of you in your nursery, as well as capturing all of the thoughtfully-planned decor.

Lifestyle newborn sessions are all about capturing the love and connection of family. After all, your family just gained the most precious new angel. You want to remember this sweet time and have memories you can cherish forever. My hope is that you’re so in love with your newborn images that you cannot wait to print them and display them throughout your home. I’m also here to help you design an album that you can curl up and enjoy time and time again. When this newborn blur has passed and you want to remember just how sweet and cuddly your sweet angel was or that sweet newborn smell, your images will live on to re-tell your baby’s story time and time again.
